Located within the Knuckles Conservation Range, Sir John’s Bungalow is set in an old bungalow which was once the residence of a British tea planter. This property used to be the holiday home of Sir John Kotalawela; the 3^rdprime minister of our country. This refurbished bungalow is surrounded by misty mountain ranges and offer spectacular views of the surroundings. This hotel is set in five acre land. Free onsite parking facilities are available. This hotel consists of five bedrooms. Sir John’s Bungalow consists of a library and guests also have the opportunity to go hiking. Board games too are available. Room service, daily maid services and concierge services are provided. There is an onsite restaurant which local and western cuisine. Breakfast is served in the verandah while lunch and dinner is served in the dining room. This hotel follows an eco-friendly policy.

How to Get There

The hotel has a transfer desk that can provide transfer facilities to the airport at a cost.

You may pre-arrange an Epic Sri Lanka Holidays chauffeur facility for your arrival and departure transfers to and from the airport or to and from any point in the country. From the Bandaranaike International airport, it will take you approximately 6 hours by road to travel 284km distance to the hotel. If you do utilize the Epic Sri Lanka Holidays Chauffeur facility you may also request to retain the chauffer throughout your stay in Sri Lanka at an attractive cost.

Alternatively, for a quicker transfer, you may request Epic Sri Lanka Holidays to arrange combined air and road transfers. Approx. 30 minutes Scheduled domestic flights are available from the Bandaranaike International airport and from Colombo Waters Edge to Sigirya. Thereafter it is a 4 hour transfer by road from Sigiriya to Hotel Agape.

We are also able to arrange for you exclusive private helicopter transfers (up to 4 passengers at a time) from any point in the country directly to your hotel or nearest helipad.
