Sri Lanka’s Hill country with its spectacular views and waterfalls, village life, tea plantations and forestlands make it a haven for trekkers whether you are seeking light or advanced trekking. The tour is designed to provide those with a serious interest in trekking with a diverse experience of trekking through Sri Lanka; the knuckles mountain range, Horton plains national park and the Sinharaja Nature reserve, the last of Sri Lanka’s virgin rainforests.
Tour commences when we pick you up from the International Airport or any location in Colombo or Negombo and drive to the outskirts of Kandy towards foothills of the Knuckles mountain range where your trekking tour will commence the next day.

Set off early with packed breakfast. Drive to take the mini world’s end trail at Deanston, a 2 km easy trek with some spectacular views. Take in the 360 degree at Corbet’s gap and proceed to Meemure for a 14 km trek that takes you to a scenic village with about 400 residents who practice farming and indigenous medicine. The trail will take you through farmlands and the border of forestlands to witness mesmerising views of the Majestic granite rock Lakegala. Return to Kandy at night.

After breakfast, drive to a central point where a 1o km trek awaits taking a total of 6-7 hours. Trek through winding hill-country roads, pathways, forests and tea plantations to view 6 of the most picturesque waterfalls of the knuckles range including Huluganga Ella, Saree Ella and the Lebanon Estate Waterfalls and end the day with a dip in a natural pool at the base of a waterfall.

Take a scenic drive to Bandarawela/Ella where adventure awaits the next day. Stop for spectacular views of the Victoria and Randenigala reservoirs. Take an medium trek to the famous Nine-arches bridge and take a further trek to its base which is the more rare view. Overnight in Bandarawela.

Take the popular medium to easy 8 km circular trail that takes you along the Horton Plains National to the park known for its unique geography and topography. The trek takes you along the plains to a tributary of the Belihul oya with crystal clear waters, a forest trail, the beautiful Baker’s Falls, the World’s end observation deck, the highest plateau in Sri Lanka. The trail also takes you further to mini worlds end before returning to the trail head. On your return spend some time in the little village of Ohiya, considered to be one of the most scenic locations in Sri Lanka 7000 feet above sea level and a trekker’s paradise.
