Ceylon tea trails is a luxury boutique hotel group with stylish bungalows that are spread across the island’s hill country. Located approximately 137 kilo meters away from the Bandaranaike International Airport.

There are five bungalows under the Ceylon tea trails group- the Norwood bungalow, the Tientsin bungalow, the Castlereagh bungalow, the Summerville bungalow and the Dunkeld bungalow. All bungalows are luxury five star quality and serve as a perfect getaway to the luscious tea plantation territory and scenic views of the central highlands. With breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and hills, the bungalows are all peaceful, private and hospitable staff . Guests can visit Nuwara Eliya which is 48 km away and experience the local culture in one of the oldest towns in the country. Horton plains and the national park – a two hour drive to a remarkable area featuring various species of flora and fauna. The location of the area is perfect for hiking, cycling and walking through the scenic tea plantations.

How to Get There

The hotel has a transfer desk that can provide transfer facilities to the airport at a cost.

You may pre-arrange an Epic Sri Lanka Holidays chauffeur facility for your arrival and departure transfers to and from the airport or to and from any point in the country. From the Bandaranaike International airport, it will take you approximately 3 hours, 40 minutes by road to travel 120 km via the expressway highway to the Norwood bungalow, Castlereagh bungalow and the dunkeld bungalow in Hatton. It takes 4 hours, 48 minutes to get to the Tientsin bungalow Nuwara Eliya. If you do utilize the Epic Sri Lanka Holidays

For those who wish to fly, daily domestic flights are available from the Bandaranaike International Airport to Castlereagh leaving Colombo at 10.00 am. Flight duration is approx. 1 hours with several stops on the way.

If you wish to view the beautiful landscapes of Sri Lanka from the skies, an exclusive private helicopter transfer (up to 4 passengers at a time) from any point in the country directly to your hotel or nearest helipad can be arranged.
