It was first owned by British soldiers who had owned the estate and it had served as the perfect refuge for Lord Mount Barren during the dark days of the Second World War. It still mirrors the secrets of the past. After the war, the estate was taken over by a Sinhala family and was then bought over by Tree of Life.
