The Saskia Fernando gallery was established in the year 2009. It is also the largest contemporary art gallery of Sri Lanka, imprinting a place in the South Asia art movement.
This gallery has sufficient space and features two exhibition spaces and over 1000 works of emerging and leading local artists, featuring works of art ranging from canvasses to sculptures. Above the entrance one can see a stunning structure of an elephant. This place had collaborated an international exhibition held in London, Dubai and Singapore. ‘Art Space Sri Lanka’; the sister company of Saskia Fernando Gallery is now located at the same spot and features pop up shows over the weekends. It is an online platform which displays all exhibited art of talented artists through exhibitions held online and features that appear monthly.
