Located near the Wasgamuwa National Park, Dunuwila is known to be the place where Lord Rama had killed King Ravana with the Brahmasthram weapon. The area is called ‘Dunuwila’ because the arrow that Rama fired at King Ravana is called ‘Dunu’ in Sinhala and ‘Wila’ means lake.
